Rhode Island aka: RI

rhode island is definitly a place worth isitng. NOT LIVING. the state laws and court system is awful and the drivers are awful. In addition, people are just rude and inconsiderate. I take off for florida in 8 months and can not wait! But definitly a place to see atleast once, it has many good sites.

We might have spent three total hours in Rhode Island, but we stopped in West Greenwich for gas, where I met a very nice lady who was having a major allergy attack, to the point where she couldn’t hear, and we stopped in Coventry. In Coventry, we stopped at “Wicked Good Pizza”, where the name says it all. It was reasonably priced, and any fan of Family Guy or Adam Sandler would appreciate the look, feel and sound of the place. I really felt welcomed there, and for any gamers out there, it’s right next to a GameStop.

I did a summer program at Brown while in high school and absolutely loved Providence.

I’ve lived in Rhode Island all my life.
Yes, it’s small, but it really is a great place to live. The summers are killer and the winters are freezing.
There’s something to do for everyone. Enjoy the shopping, history, beaches, and COFFEE!

I still have yet to discover everything about this little state. :)

Rhode Island is a beautiful state. I had only been to the state once before I interviewed for a job here in March 2006 (I got and am still currently at the job!). It is totally overlooked and has so many great things to offer. Great location to many najor cities!

One of you RI folk should start a restaurant called The Collosus of Rhode Island cause that would be funny.

i lived there for 2 years. couldn’t stand the winters, but the rest of the year was nice. nice blend of people, cultures, music and history.

Went to camp here when I was younger, we’d take the ferry from orient point to CT and then catch busses to RI. It was very memorable and It would be fun to go back.

I’m kind of biased because I was born and raised here but let me just mention a few things. If you are ever in Providence on a summers night Waterfire in Providence Place Park is very romantic and different. The restaurants on Federal Hill are awesome! If you are ever in Newport, try first to take a drive down Bellvue to see all the mansions (or even visit a couple close up) and then, there is a cliffwalk that has great views of the water on one side and the mansions on the other side. The beaches in South County are great. (just don’t go during the peak hours of the day…) There is also a number of places to get fresh delicious seafood in this area. There is McCoy Stadium in Pawtucket home of the AAA Red Sox and the box seats for that are cheaper than going to most movies. There is something for everyone here and there is a lot more to RI than just Providence.

I was 15 and it was on a family holiday. I’ve never forgotten it. It was one of the best summers I’ve ever had. Sadly we’ve not been able to make it back since but one day I’m going to go and dip my feet in that ocean and eat the fresh corn and crab again and never have to leave.
