...ended up in a tiny little town where everyone knew everyone and mid grade gas was cheaper than low grade gas. I stopped at the town bar, had a drink, got stared at and moved on. The toll booth guy was nice, though. Explained to me the history of the bridge. Apparently it was built over land in Korea, and then brought back to the US and placed between Iowa and Nebraska. Now it costs 75 cents to cross it….

What else can i say. Hundreds and Hundreds of miles of corn!!

We were traveling through to get to CA. We stayed overnight in the town of Lincoln. I thought it was nice.

Home sweet home – friendly people and the prettiest mid-size city I could ever want :)

We took our students to a dare 2 share conference in Lincoln, Nebraska. It was a great time!!

I used to live here. I didn’t like it while I was there but the grass is always greener on the other side. I miss it a lot. You meet great people there and it is a small town environment because everything and everyone is so close nearby in Lincoln.

Bad vibe. Bad feeling. Bad ju ju. We drove the state’s length and it was all bad. I couldn’t cross the state line fast enough.

I could be hasty in my opinion, but that’s my impression.

Entertainment consists of drinking and being an idiot. Older people and city officials say that there are many things for youngsters such as myself to do, but when one attempts to do anything of these “things”, they turn out to be wastes of time. Notable examples: Trails and Rails Museum, Archway Monument, and the wondrous Platte River. To be clear, you’re more likely to have a good time by scoring yourself some drugs in the park by the high school and drifting into the house with the loudest bass by the college on a Thursday night.

Boring … Go there though, It makes you appreciate home. (unless home is somewhere like Kansas) haha

If you’re ever stuck doing the painstaking trek on I-80 to cross the state, I highly recommend making your pit stop in Paxton. Quite possibly the nicest people I’ve ever met, good home cookin’, and a quaint, pleasant atmosphere—not to mention a beautifully clear sky at night.
