Minnesota aka: MN

We went to Mall Of America when I was like 13-15 years old.

After my doomed trip to Chile, South America, and the impending divorce destined to come from said trip, arriving in Minnesota saved my life along with the lovely friend who invited me to come here and rebuild my life, with my 2 daughters. It truly turned out to be MN nice.

I personally believe Minnesota is one of the most over-looked states in the union. My family moved here when I was 9 years old from Mexico City, Mexico. We had moved over 13 times before that, in 6 different countries, and 4 different US states, and we loved Minnesota so much we’ve been here ever since! Ask any Minnesotan and they’ll tell you why!

My parents and I lived in Minnesota for about a year when I was in grade school and in many ways, I enjoyed my brief time there.

The snowy winters were amazing! I can still remember having to wear a snowsuit to school and having the snow come up to my thighs when I’d walk. The snowball fights, sledding and the making of snowmen were always fun as well :D

During the summer, the place came alive and was so vibrant and green. My parents and I used to go on our speedboat at Riley Lake and I learned how to fish (catfish, sunfish and bass were among my main catches) and waterski!

There were some wonderful times there.

I went to visit my sister a couple years ago for the first time here. On the way it was also the very first time I went to Chicago. It was a pretty exciting trip and I decided right then that I will live in a big city when I grow up.
