Iowa aka: IA

I entered Iowa on I-29 South. There was a ton of construction, but very little traffic, probably because it was night time. I crossed in and out of Iowa to go to Nebraska on a bridge that was assembled during the Korean War over land.

I grew up in n California and then lived in socal for 4 years before moving to Iowa I live in a small town called clearlake
Every winter we have an xmas parade and weeks of other com. activities. In the fall there are several haunted houses and a halloween parade. Every 4th of july there ich a parade and a carnival at our seawall which overlooks historic clearlake.
theres great fishing camping hunting antiquing and the locally owned downtown restaurants are amazing

I wwas visiting family of a friend, we went on a canoe trip. Nothing special.

My mom and I drove through here on a road trip and stopped at every winery we could. They had some amazing blends and great people! It was a lot of fun and I would do it again.

I have lived here my whole life and while, I will admit it is a lot of corn and beans and cows, pigs, horses, llamas, etc. It is a really great place to live and if you know the right places, tons of fun. Although, I will eventually move away, you can’t stay here forever.

We drove through the state in 1998 and, at least from what I saw, it was a great little state.

We (me & the spouse) spent the night in Iowa City, which was a great place. The people were friendly and everything seemed looked clean.

When we crossed from Iowa to Nebraska, it was like WTF, did we fall off the map?
