Since Texarkana was the only place I got to visit, I’m not too thrilled with the place. I hope that city isn’t what the whole state is like.

i bought a 65 cent candy bar one time, and i was charged 20 cents in SALES TAX!!!! tooooo much tax here, and everything is really expensive. if you are outdoorsy, im sure you can find something to do here. if you want to go shopping, i dont suggest trying anywhere in arkansas because the selection sucks

The parts of Arkansas I have seen are actually very scenic compared to its neighboring states (Missouri, Oklahoma, Kansas…). Granted, I haven’t gone too far into it, most of my experience is along 540. Best part of my drive from Kansas to Oklahoma.

Lived here. Not long, but close to the Ozarks. I enjoyed the NW region.

Arkansas is the brunt of many hillbilly and redneck jokes. These may or may not be true at times. I live in Northwest Arkansas, an area that is constantly growing and growing. Fayetteville, AR (in the area) is a great college town with many eclectic restaurants, bars, parks and art.
I have found that Arkansas has a laid back feel to it. My friends from Minnesota like to visit to kick and relax. The hills and valleys and streams and trails are abounding in the Ozarks. I haven’t spent much time in the rest of Arkansas but my home here is just so beautiful.
Worth visiting! I sure think so, I’m here to stay for a while.

I noticed that the main photo is one of the Old Mill and I just wanted to share (or brag) that it was built by my great grandfather :D
