Puebla (State) aka: State of Puebla, Estado de Puebla

I was amazed at how many churches where in this city, or just in one block, and all of them just magnificent forms of architectura that you just dont see anymore, so yeah I would recomend it, but it does get a little monotonous after a while, so I suggest taking tour buses of some sort, because downtow his huge!!!

I visited for just a day, the city was beautiful. A town square surrounded by an incredible church and lots of resturantes, shops, people. The day I was visiting was for a political demonstration/concert for presidental candidate Filipe Calderon so it is possible that this day was extraordinary for Puebla. Either way, based on my experience I reccommend Puebla to anyone young or old during the day. I can not testify for the night life

I live here, the couple of volcans are the Popocatepetl and Ixztaccihuatl.

I’m planning on going to Tehuacán in January of 2007 for a quincenera. My mother is from here, but I have not visited in 20 years. I’m really excited to see everything- my sister showed me some of the pictures from the last time she was there.

Puebla is a great city to live in. For any European it should present the best weather all-year round. Never too cold, never too hot. Wonderful! The city centre is very beautiful with typical “Poblano” architecture, that includes blueish tiles on the fassade of the houses.

I had the fortune to spend five weeks there once. It’s beautiful. Eery time I would walk downtown, I would always feel like I was a part of history. I was going to places where people had been going for hundreds of years. It’s pretty safe too. I walked pretty much all over town by myself all the time.

Just be careful, theres a saying that goes: “Alacran, culebra y poblano, no los toques con la mano, tocalos con un palito porque es animal maldito.”

TRANSLATE: “Scorpion, snake and puebla-natives, don’t you dare touching them with bare hands, touch them with a stick because they’re animals from hell”

This past May I was in Puebla for my aunt’s wedding. I hadn’t expected it to be so large of a city…beautiful! I love the Mexican culture…
