Nova Scotia

We left P.E.I. for Nova Scotia, not really knowing what to expect, except for Sidney Crosby’s hometown of Cole Harbour and trying to find a little hole in the wall called Hacketts Cove, because our last name is Hackett. We also stopped in Truro for some quick shopping and McDonald’s. (McD’s just tastes better in Canada, must be the 100% beef they use!) It was nice, but we really only had a day here. We drove around Peggy’s Cove and saw the Swiss Air memorial built near there, otherwise, we just headed back to New Brunswick. Still, I would say the province is definitely worth visiting!

How can you not love a place where the people are friendly and the drinks are cold?

My parents drove us all the way to Nova Scotia from Florida!!!

Miss T wants to know when we’re going back to Scotland and I know its not anytime soon. I think we can find all new adventures here and get a little bit of what we liked about Scotland. Highland games, deer & ale pies, heavy accents, kilts & pipes, ghosts, warm pubs with tunes and haggis neeps & tatties.

I went 2 times in the last 2 years, and I absalotly love Parrsboro, NS. It is wonderful. I recommend Parsboro,NS strongly.

I live in Vancouver and travel BC’s Sea to Sky highway frequently…and I thought I knew what true Canadian beauty was…UNTIL I travelled the Cabot Trail. Such a varied and ancient landscape, so peaceful, SO green…I loved the highs and lows of the road, the feeling of being at the top of the world, watching the sun gleam ABOVE the clouds, looking down on the them as though from Heaven…the angles of the hills…and of course, seeing many different types of beautiful Canadian birds, and a moose to boot! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I’m not even really sure why I want to go. It’s just so close and seems to be quite scenic. I have read that it’s a good place to tour on a motorcycle so I just would like to do it.
We are going to Hawaii this fall, but I used to live there and I live in Fort Lauderdale now so the Tropical/Beach thing I’m kind of saturated with, would much rather take a Bike trip in Nova Scotia.
