Why I want to go to this place

I am planning a trip to New Delhi, Agra, Jaipur, Udaipur and Jaisalmer, in this coming December. My entire trip would be around 25 days.
I would love to go there alone. But, I have a few questions about these places.
1. Is it very difficult to get backpacker hostels in these few places? Whenever I travel, I stay in backpacker hostels because this is the best place to meet new friends!
2. How can I travel from one place to the other? I tried to google on the internet, I realized that the public transportations are quite crowded. I am female travelling alone, I would rather pay a little more money to avoid any trouble.

3. Are those places safe enough to travel alone? or easy to navigate around?

Thank you. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Cheers,Lee Yoong

Why I want to go to this place

I’d love to see Rajastan in North-West India.

Many of my friends and even my sis have been there and loved it. I’ve hear it is really beautiful and authentic site on earth. I am especially eagar to see the pink cities and the rat tembel. While I love Indian miniatures and Rajastan is a center of mastery that would be inspiring too.

I’ve been in Rajastan muslim wedding in Mumbai and it was quite lovely occasion.

On the top of all that it is rather close (relatively speaking) to the certain ruins of the Indus civilisation on the Indian side.

How this place changed my life

Traveled to very interior villages in Jalor, Pali, Sirohi and Chittorgarh districts in Rajasthan doing research on illiteracy and causes for that in rural areas in India. Opened my eye to a totally new and disconnected India. Decided that education and literacy will be two things I shall be working on for a major part of my life. And for some strange reason, whenever I’m in a fancy celebration party, I’m taken back to that village in Sirohi distict with no power, no water, no school.

A dream

I travelled from Delhi to Neemrana to Samode to Jaipur to Jodhpur to Ranakpur to Delwara to Udaipur to Mumbai. The drive from Ranakpur to Delwara/Udaipur over the Aravali hills is the most beautiful road trip I have ever made so far. A trip of a lifetime. You cannot tell of Rajasthan or India, you have to experience it. And what an experience it will be.
I want to go back and go to Bikaner and Jaisalmer, also see other parts in India, the North, Sikkhim, the Himalayas, the South, Kerala, Bengal,...
