The towns are very nice, and the scenery is amazing.

Our backpack was stolen off a bus in Kunming, leaving us without plane tickets or camera; but the trip up from Kunming to Dali and Lijiang was still amazing. Yes, very much on the tourist trail, but enjoyable nonetheless.

yunnan is a lovely, sweet dream that never ends. i fell in love. the next time i go to china i plan on flying directly into yunnan and staying there for my whole trip.

it is just awesome!

I have been their for 1 month last summer.
Kunming-Dali-Lijiang-Tiger-leaping gorge-Shangri-la-Snow mountain Meili-back Dali, spend 15 days at Dali.
hiking in Tiger leaping gorge for 3 Days, wonderful experence, They call the gorge the heaven of hikers.
In Dali, Lijiang, you can meet backpackers from all over the world. I love the place, I love Dali, Bars are at every corner of the streed, The pizza is great.
I miss Dali beer, I miss my friend in Dali.

I wish i could settle down there.
anyway, i am planning to travel there again next year.
