Bremen

I love how it’s a carfree city, or part of it is anyway. It’s one of those rare places.

*The transport system is scarily punctual.
*Funnest thing to do in Bremen if you’re bored: Go to the Universitat physics museum. It’s the most fun.
*DO NOT GO TO THE FOCKE MUSEUM.
*This applies to anywhere in Germany, become familar with the word Brotchen… ;)
*There’s a good music scene there… if you look hard enough

I went for the Christmas festival in mid December and it was fantastic! Lots of little stalls set up in the squares with heaps of people, Gluewein sellers on every corner, and a really Christmas-y atmosphere. A beautiful way to get into the feel of things for the holiday season!

... and I like it! Well, the weather could be a little bit better …

I want to visit my highschool friend who is from Thailand and studying there right now.

I took a summer language course here in summer 03 and stayed here a month. I LOVED IT! great city and great place to learn german at the Universitaet-Bremen. Great punk/indie scene and beautiful city in general. Side trips: go to Nordsee and visit Bergen-Belsen conc. camp.

If you ever come to Bremen, visit Fischerhude, the village where I live.
And take a trip to the sea.
