Gods wonders !!

I spent a couple of days in Lima on my way to Macchu Pichu. I was surprised at how modern Miraflores was. Lima is huge and there is so much to see. Pisco Sours are an awesome drink- they have white grape brandy in them, which is really interesting.

I had about 10 hours in Lima on a layover from Buenos Aires. I planned it that way. It was so worth it. Initially, it was a culture shock, something not in my vocabulary. But it was different, everyone was darker than I and looking at me. It’s not the first time- Mexico City was similar. I hit a restaurant upon arriving in El Centro to get a bit acclimated with my surroundings. Once I left the restaurant, I was good to go the rest of the day finishing it off with Ceviche and a Pisco Sour! I will definitely return to explore the city and country further!

Just came back from a quick trip to Lima and I was blown away by the variety and quality of the food. The seafood in particular was exceptional, but everything I tried was delicious. Oh, and the Pisco Sour, Peru’s answer to Mexico’s Margaritas has a hell of a kick… Salud!

The city looks so cool in pictures. My friend is from there. I would like the experience the city as someone from there experiences it.

watch out for people pretending to put mustard on your shoulder. don’t be afraid to explore areas outside of miraflores and surco—at least go to barranco. it is my favorite area. but the poorer areas are fascinating and vibrant…just make sure to take nothing of value. and i would only suggest going someplace like el agustino if you’re staying in lima for a while and if you have a friend to take you.

One to go on the back burner for now.

never been to a place where the difference between rich and poor is greater…loved every minute of my month here but watch out for the no go areas…and those little yellow taxis hooting at you all the time, do they get on your wick or what

this country is f**ng amazing loved it and going back as soon as i can!!!! 37 days!!!! the people are friendly the place has so much life there is nowhere like it in the world!

its huge!! kinda smells…but otherwise not too bad, like another big european city
