I'm going to Tokyo in November
I’m trying to find things to do and places to go. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
I’ve never been to Japan before.

Worth visiting!
I spent the last four months of 2008 in Tokyo, Japan as a study abroad student and I had an absolute blast! Tokyo is mind blowing in every way; the contrast between traditional culture and globalization here is really quite fascinating. There are a lot of things that can be jarring (Roppongi reminds me of Times Square, to some respect, but on copious amounts of acid) and down right weird (used panty machines, host clubs, etc) but there are so many beautiful details I loved like ginkgo trees golding during the Fall or going to a para-para club and being the only foreigner in a club.
Tokyo is just awesome!

Worth visiting!
It was for my husband’s birthday. We had a wonderful time! I for one was not ready to leave and go back to northern Japan where we are stationed currently. I would go back to Tokyo in a heartbeat if given the chance!!

tokyo and korea are the 2 places ive been fascinated solely because of the glitterati image the media a.k.a mangas, manhwas and dramas present. i have always felt that the girls in tokyo really know how to kick ass when they dress up. also i want to wear a yukata , speak that cute japanese language and also dare myself to eat sushi traditionally.
lets see how far that comes true

Well, I tried to go to Tokyo, but the airline wouldnt let me. Coming back from China, I had to change planes in Tokyo. I planned to change my flight from Tokyo to the US to the next day and then go into town and check it out, but the airline wouldnt allow me to change my ticket. I guess I’ll have to find another way to get here. :(
