Tunisia aka: Tunis

I went around July last year so of course it was hot. But I just really can’t cope in the heat. I stayed in Port el Kantaoui and I always went into Sousse for shopping and a pirate ship ride. I liked all the cats around my hotel and when you took photos they were guaranteed to be interesting. :D

I went over the 1999-2000 new year celebration. I went alone too, which I don’t regret because I’d rather not go with people I don’t like. (That was my only option) So I spent a lot of time on a rock in the Mediterranean. And eating meals in the dining room of the hotel and listening to the smoker nextdoor to me cough up a lung every morning.

Tunis

I want to go to Morocco and Tunisia SO BAD I can barely stand it! Saharan and Sun-Saharan Africa hold no charm for me, but North Africa seems so amazing. Rabat, Fez, Marrekech, Meknes, and Casablanca… then off to Tunis. The architecture makes my heart go pitter-patter.

Not recommended.

I’ve been wanting to go to Tunisia for two years now, but every time something came up. Finally, I think I’ll be able to make the journey next year. I would really like to go and explore the Sahara but I’m a bit uncertain if its a good idea to go alone. I would appreciate any tips or advice.
