Singapore

Singapore is where my story began… where the weather is hazily hot and steamilly humid… in fact, at times, walking outdoors is akin to walking into a sauna… and we have 2 seasons, not 4.

You are either in summer heat or summer monsoon! When the monsoon comes, the tropical rainstorms follow, with lightning and thunder galore…

And it was on a dark and stormy night that I was born…

La vida es bella!

I already have this area to visit on my main site but i will add it to my places site. I will be visiting it in July.

Great colonial architecture, easy to travel, clean, neat, organised. But bring your own chewing gum and don’t let the customs see it, it’s banned here!

Probably my favorite big city in the world. The food is awesome.

I did the firstever night race in Formula one and it was fab
loved it and fernando Alonso won iceing on the cake.

A very clean country! Very small but very international!
The transportation are very easy…
My problem is only the languange…”sing-lish”...for my bad ears is kinda hard to understand…
It’s a great place to hunt for books…hahaha…and of course…shopping :p

Was 13 years ago. I still do remember the streets, restaurants and the sites we visited. A really nice clean country.

I have been there this year but it was only to catch a connection flight. So all I saw was the airport which was more like a shopping mall :)

Planning to go there again by the end of this year for a conference =D

... Was last year. We stayed four nights at the Miramar. Passable hotel, with a passable buffet breakfast and passable restaurant.
The city itself is quite humid and fairly smoggy (for me, anyway, I live in a small coastal town). I didn’t like it much, truthfully, although it was good to do for the sake of it.
Check out Chinatown, for shopping and browsing. And Clarke Quay for eating-out and the nightlife.

Just looking at some of the shopping centres and public areas was interesting in itself, just due to all of the small differences in function and look to home, and also the fascination of being on holiday.
For a supposedly clean, safe city, I found Singapore surprisingly polluted, and on a nighttime walk back to our hotel from Clarke Quay (we got semi-lost) we managed to come accross some of the less desirable parts of the city.

The first time I went to this place I was a little kid. My family and I went on tour through southeast asia. I remember Singapore to be my favorite city of all the places we visited. Everything was so clean and just nice to look at.
We saw “Songs of the Sea”, ?Merlin Park? and other attractions
I was in awe the whole time we stayed there.
I’d love to go there again some time
