Didn’t see enough of this place. You have to give Chile a lot of time to fully enjoy.
I went to Valparaiso and Santiago.
The people are great, the city of Santiago is manageable and easy.

I lived in Chile for a year as an exchange student from the United States. The Andes Mountains are INCREDIBLE in Chile, they just don’t compare in any other South American country. I have been outside of Chile now 2 years and I miss it to death. It’s just so natural, beautiful, and untouched.
For those of you traveling to Chile: visit San Pedro de Atacama, Pucon, and do wine tours in Maule. I traveled up and down the coast for a year and found these places to be the most incredible.
I am going back in August and dream of it every night :)

Santiago seems like a great, hip cultural center, and I have heard the rest of the country is beautiful – Patagonia and Valparaiso being high on the list. Plus, how cool would it be to go to Easter Island?
