I would absolutely love to visit St. Petersburg, Moscow, and Volgograd

I’m keen to do a long road trip or cycle trek from the East to West, talk to people, learn and observe.

I almost went here in October! I was so close! I had the days off from work, the flight and a place to stay! Alas, I guess it just wasn’t meant to be.

But I might be getting another chance soon. Fingers crossed. It’s just a once in a lifetime oppty that shouldn’t be missed.

I was held in Russia because my visa ran out as I traveled from Tajikistan. So, we were illegal aliens in Russia for a day! It was hair-raising at best and the actual story that precedes this one is the one you should hear!

I’d like to get back to being fluent…instead of just barely managing a conversation with a Russian cab driver when I’m drunk.

I will be going to Moscow in September this year with some friends. Flights and accommodation are sorted, we still have to get the visa but im getting really excited now. :) Can anyone tell me how cold it is in September?

I spent a great semester there during college. The neverending cold and snow didn’t seem to matter much compared to the rich culture and landscape I encountered. I’ve never reflected so deeply on my cultural and religious beliefs as I did there. I recommend learning about literary figures and musicians before going there, then traveling through St Petersburg and Moscow. Russians are very proud of the language, literature, and music. The rural areas are amazing as well.

I lived here all my life, and still go there every year! The people are wonderful, the atmosphere is amazing (if you avoid going to the wrong places xD), and it’s just really cool. The scenery and hermitages are beautiful. 100% worth visiting. 5/5 Country

I have been blessed to be able to go to Russia 2x. Once in 1987 when it was still the U.S.S.R. and once in 2002. Difference of night and day between the two visits… but I can say I love it there. It is a beautiful place.

I was living there all my life!!! What can I say??? Well… it was my home you know, but I haven’t had any friends over there. Maybe it’s because I was different from everyone else… Anyway, everyone else (apart from my classmates) are extremely nice.
