Panama

The Buses there were painted gorgeusly with complex designs, images and motif’s. I loved that.

Who doesn’t want to see the Panama Canal? Not to mention the jungles.

One of my closest friends, Carlos DuBois was born in David. He was the kindest person I’ve ever known. He would tell me stories about Panama. He was a rebel in the 1950’s and eventually came to the US. I would love to take a trip to see his homeland. He’s in heaven now and I miss him.

I stayed mostly in David, Chiriqui. Definitely stay at least once at Hotel Castilla and eat the “paella” they serve…must call ahead to order min 2 people. If you go to Boquete eat at Tango Sur which has great Argentinian food.

As a very small child, My Aunt lived there with her husband/boyfriend? who was in the U.S. Army, so that sort of dates when. The only memory I have is of Iguanas the size of Dogs in the backyard. And just a note for note’s sake, places I cannot remember, places I want to forget, places that are even lame or that I had a terrible time in I always consider them Worth Visiting. Even the one that I put “Not worth visiting”,(Somalia), had a profound, (and I think, positive) affect on me that will last a lifetime, how could that truly be considered Not Worth It?

Next Friday!!! OMG! I’m just overwhelmed with the possibilities. I’m sooo expecting great things of God. I believe He’s gonna just completely rock my face off- I know it. I’m expecting signs and wonders; miracles; healing and deliverance- It’s gonna be carayzeee!

Like 36 more days I think until I’m off for Panama!!! I’m like ridiculosly excited; it may be illegal to be this excited! I cannot wait to go change lives; it’s gonna be friggin awesome! All my sentences in this entry have ended with exclamation points! That’s ‘cause i’m excited!

I’ve got alot of family there that I haven’t seen in a very very long time!

Only worth going if you go through the canal through the lock system-a must see for sure. The country is disgusting, scary and very unsafe. They just started tourism a few years back and apparently the president of the country takes all the money from the canal for himself and his people and leaves his country to go to crap. Sad.

I was walking with my daughter in a stroller when I noticed branches falling all around me. Hearing some rustling in the canopy above me, I looked up and discovered about twenty monkeys following me. I was told that I was lucky they did not throw something else at me. They are fond of slinging poo at people. LOL I lived there for two years, and the wildlife, ocean, and rainforest were the most beautiful things I have ever seen next to Alaska.
