New Caledonia aka: Nouvelle-Caledonie

I went to New Caledonia with my school in year ten, it was a great experience. I stayed with a host family, who made the best breakfasts ever! I took language classes every morning at the language school by the beach, and sight saw in the afternoon. This was a great cultural experience.

im going on a cruise in sept, cant wait? anyone got any interesting things they know about that i can do?

i went with my year 10 group and i loved it. it is well worth going and i would love to go again

but from what I saw it was pretty sedate, not much to do.

Nothing memorable about this visit….but I was there for less than 24 hours

Nice beachy place to escape to for a few weeks, don’t know if it was worth the distance to travel, but if you’re in the area, it’s a good place to visit.

the weather in New Caledonia is always gorgeous, the culture is wonderful, and the aquarium has those crazy nautilus things.

New Caledonia is very mountainous and can be quite windy. If you go to New Caledonia be prepared to spend a small fortune to eat well. There is some nightlife in Noumea and there are over 200 nakamals (kava bars) to drink kava at. The beaches are beautiful. The people almost all speak French there. Nice place to visit but I don’t know how anyone can afford to live there. Definitely the most expensive place I have ever visited.

La calédonie, c’est un peu un pays ou il s’est passé des choses que je ne pouvais pas connaitre, mais qui reviennent me mordre aujourd’hui. J’ai des choses à prouver là-bas, à moi ou à d’autres…
