Mozambique aka: Mocambique

absolutely amazing! i went to visit my friend in Mozambique and i absolutely loved everything…except the smell. other than that, i had a great time! it was so beautiful.

my very dear friend is in the peace corps, stationed in Mozambique. this is her 3rd and final year and i figured when else will i have the opportunity to go to Africa, and experience it with one of my best friends. so i’m going August 7th for a couple weeks. i’m super nervous about the plane ride, since i haven’t flown since 2002. i’m sure i will have an amazing time. look out Mozambique, here i come!!!

I loved this country so much I would like to live there at some point in my life. Inhambane was a highlight for me.

Jeff’s Palm – nestled away on the coast line just off Inhambane must be Mozi’s best kept secret! From scuba, snorkeling, fishing, horseriding or simply doing nothing – it has it all!

All I can say about Mozambique is that Heidi Baker lives there, and anywhere that Heidi Baker is I want to be. She is an amazing missionary that has raised the dead, healed the blind, healed many many people. She is truly a laid down lover. She whole heartedly lives for God and I would love to meet her. And if I gotta go to Moz. then so be it.

the food, the mood, the people, the laurentina…the roads are passable to excellent on all the most popular tourist routes, so no problem. accommodation reasonable.the only negative i have, is their money! to convert zar to mozambican meticals requires good maths…today’s exchange rate is 1 ZAR (South African Rand) for 3,537.05 MZN (Mozambique Metical), compared to 1 ZAR for 14.17 GBP (Great British Pound). you can finally be a multi-millionaire!
