Malaysia is such a wonderful place and quite a cultural melting pot. In my opinion, it’s an experience unlike any other. I hope to come back to this lovely country time and time again.

It was my boyfriend and his family’s birthplace. His parents get pretty excited when they suggest I should go with them to visit. It would also be an honour to meet his relatives.

Malaysia airlines is good (apparently they get some award) so no worries…
yes i am living in Kuala Lumpur and it takes about an hour drive to the airport, Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA)... if u planning to drop by the capital city, u can take the train called KLIA Express from the airport straight to the main central terminal KL Sentral and from there u can switch train to other places… (just like from u take the London underground from Heathrow to Waterloo and from there u switch or connect to other lines)... fyi there are 2 hotels in KL Sentral…
do let me know if there’s anything else i can help, what else u need and want to know :)

Highly, highly recommended! I went on a work trip for a month – we spent most time up near the Thai border, and some time in Penang. Always exciting, always things going on. Go to the night markets and haggle. Or wander around the streets looking at the remains of the British colonial era. Or have the fright of your life in a taxi when you tell them to take a shortcut!
I just walked, and I think that’s a good way to see everything in the towns – the streets are so jam packed into such a small area you can’t see it any other way. Moving between towns is getting easier now due to a growing freeway network (with tolls).
See it for yourself when you get the chance!

I was born and raise in Malaysia, no matter how far my travels take me; home will always be home.
Malaysia is a great place to visit if you want a tour of South East Asian Foods. Though I have to admit, as a single female it is NOT SAFE to travel alone. You are better off travelling to Singapore which is a much safer country in general.
