Kuwait aka: Al Kuwayt

I stayed there for not more that 8 hours; I would like to explore it more next time.

quite dirty and the taxi drivers are insane.

My move date is getting closer and closer, and I just keep getting more nervous. It’s not that I’m not ready (I’m not really ready, but that’s not what’s freaking me out), and it’s not the idea of moving to the Middle East that has me so nervous, it’s just this uneasy feeling I have that this time around, things won’t just fall into place the way they usually do when I travel and move someplace new. Argh! I am scaring myself and conjuring up all kinds of awful scenarios in my mind that could possibly happen. Keep your fingers crossed for me, eh!

Another business trip took me into Kuwait, but not quite into Kuwait City. I wasn’t really prepared for the barren landscape on the road from the airport into the suburbs. Should probably go back to do a little more exploring…

I will be moving to Kuwait soon (in about two weeks). I’m a little apprehensive, but also quite excited!

I was in Kuwait for a year. I got to spend a lot of time in Kuwait City, and I really liked it. The people are great, and there is plenty to keep you busy.

I was there in 2004 (overnight) and 2005 (5 days) Again, it was passing through because of the war. I really didn’t see that much. It was hot with a lot of sand. Kuwait City looks ultra modern, at least the airport did.

I’d like to go back.

maybe if i saw more, but the time iwas there wasnt for tourism.. i saw sand sand and more sand… oh did you know its hot and cold there?

My profile photo is from my last night in Kuwait. We ate at a restaurant and smoked the best hookah. The guys at the restaurant were very friendly and the food was excellent. Seems like a very interesting city.

It was very cold. The weather is around 16 celcius day time..at night is even colder. Off course I need some time to adapt as I’m coming from tropical country where it is only rain and shine..
