Maybe someday…

Not that anyone who has been or wants to go thinks bad stuff about Iran, but here’s a video that makes me want to go even worse than before.

Warning: Not a travel video. It has a political message against potential American attack (and I’m shamed to be an American after seeing this video—that our government could even think attack such a place) on Iran that shows many scenes from Iran.

Before the Shah was deposed I went to stay with my school friend sarah who lived in Tehran. I had several other Iranian friends from school. I loved the country and was overwhelmed by the hospitality and beauty of both the people and the landscape. The food is delicious, I especially loved going to buy bread at the bakery when they pulled it fresh off the walls of the oven.We would take it home and devour the lot with a delicious yoghurt based dip.Going out to the mountains outside Tehran was a journey both in beauty and time. I would love to visit Iran again.

I met this girl while on a boat trip down the bospherous in Istanbul and she suggested I visit Iran. She gave me her name and address (she’s married) and said she would help me out when I visited. Hey, like I was minding my own business and looking out to sea at the time but then that’s life! Should I go I wonder?
Here I am a year later and i’ve been to Iran and met up with the person who invited me and her family. Iranians are (on the whole) very freindly and can’t do enough to help so that was a nice surprise. I really didn’t get to grips with the place in six days I was there, there just wasn’t the time. I met a girl and i’m not even sure if she’s married though she has a three year old boy. My feelings are mixed and i’m also aware that having not been in a relaitionship for a long time I have to be cool. No worries, i’m thousands of miles away. I can’t understand why I don’t just fall in love with the girl next door, it would be so much easier. Even the first girl I went out with it wasn’t straight forward as she had a two year old boy. So do I go back? Yes, once i’ve had time to reconcile the romantic in me with the reality of the situation. Even if there’s no big romance I want to look up friends and and visit Shiraz and Kish island.

We have gone iran for climbing demavent mountain ,After finishing climbing ,we went tahran ,isfahan , and bam .Tahran is not worth visiting ,İsfahan and Bam was excellent

In former ages, the names Aryana and Persis were used to describe the region which is today known as the Iranian plateau. The earliest Iranian reference to the word (airya/arya/aryana etc), however, predates the Iranian prophet Zoroaster (est. anywhere between 1200 to 1800 BCE, according to Greek sources, as early as 6000 BCE and is attested in non-Gathic Avestan; it appears as airya, meaning noble/spiritual/elevated; as airya dainhava (Yt.8.36, 52) meaning the land of the Aryans; and as airyana vaejah, the original land of the Aryans.

Old Persian name for Cyrus the Great’s kingdom which belonged to the Persian tribe of the Iranian branch of the Indo-Iranians and which can still be found in the term Pars or Fars as part of the heartland of Iran and for example in the map by Eratosthenes and other historical or modern maps.
       

To better understand my boyfriend’s culture and for adventure! I also want to see Persepoles, the Caspian sea, Shiraz, shop at a bazaar, eat tons of Persian food, and see the neighborhood in Tehran where my boyfriend grew up.

Some of the kindest people I’ve met are from Iran. They have a genuine spirit which I cherish. A country that has produced such beautiful people deserves a visit.

My quest to learn Farsi has begun. I can almost tell what some words mean now, and basic hellos, goodbyes. Lack of vowels is confusing me some, but I’m learning. What a beautiful culture. I can’t wait to be there for Norouz someday.
