India aka: Republic of India, Bhārat Gaṇarājya

My parents are from India but I was born & raised in the US. I haven’t been to India since I was 5!!! This is the first time I’m going back, for 1 month. Traveling from Mumbia, Pune, Nagpur (and Deoli), Dehli, Agra, Gao and anything else I can fit in.

A country that has the longest living civilization and the oldest languages in the world. A country where the food, culture and terrain changes every 200-300 KM.

I left my brain in India, but from the top of my head sprouted thousands of vines rushing convolutedly around my physical shell.. pulsated vigorously.. sent vibration within.. and finally an outburst of a steady illuminating glow of a new, perpetuating awareness. A new me.

I was born in India, but I’m utterly American. India is amazing. I couldn’t imagine living there, but the culture there is so rich and the people and the food and the clothing… It’s all so bright and colorful and distinctly Indian.

Can’t believe it’s been two years since I left India.
I still have dreams about it from time to time; I think I need to go back.

india sounds so interesting! i would want to try yoga, wear a sari, get henna tatoos, whatever else there is there. i’m not really sure.

I visited Mumbai in India, stayed there for a bout week. Poverty is sad, and the city is very crowded. I bought from there Cashmere carpet and Musk Concentrate.

I’ve always wanted to go to India ever since I was young and heard all the travel stories that my mom and dad shared with me from when they were in their 20s. Not only that but I LOVE Indian food! I’m just waiting to make enough money to be able to travel around India for at least a month if not more. Also, I’d like to do a few weeks of volunteer work with a nonprofit while I’m there. My estimated plan to do this is 2 summers from now.
