went last week…san jose, la fortuna & volcano arenal, monteverde, & tamarindo!

This place was amazing! I highly recommend a package that takes you to a few places because it is such a diverse country. It allowed me to truly relax, play & realize what I have here at home as well as how huge this world is. I truly have the bug for adventures now.

Don’t go in the off season. TOO HOT!!!!! Otherwise, beautiful!

We just got back a few days ago and I already miss it. That may have something to do with the fact that it’s snowing here and was pretty much perfect down there. The weather, the vegetation, the fruit, the wildlife… it was all great.

Some friends and are planning a trip to Costa Rica for the first week of April. I have never been there, but my friends have. We should fly into San Jose, where we will spend a couple of days and then take a small plane to Liberia. Most of our trip is planned for the Northwest Coastal Area (Guanacaste).

Looking forward to “zipping” through the trees, repelling down the waterfalls and riding quads on the beach.

The main reason for this trip is to (hopefully) start a trend of touring the Southern portion of the Western Hemisphere. I am very intrigued by Latin and South America and would like to visit several spots.

I have been fortunate enough to have traveled across Europe and Asia and would like to add South America to the list.

I am looking forward to posting my summary and pictures (hopefully good stories) at the end of April!

i wrote a book about surfing up and down the coast of this place and living in the mts. too! i love this place!!!

was on my honeymoon – went to Arenal, Monteverde, Manuel Antonio, and of course San Jose. I went back the next year to Jaco, fantastic country and people.

I want to have a great trip, that’s what I want, and it’s almost here. Going to Costa Rica in February!

Although Peter cannot disclose his mission or his where abouts in Costa Rica, he can identify this photo as Volcan Arenal. He has a pyroclastic rock collection that he has personally collected from the central crater of each live volcano.
