Bahrain, Middle East

I admit my stay was just a stop-over while changing flights, but the Bahrain city did not seem too nice for me.

over 7 years agoI went there many years ago and I would recommend going to Dubai if you want to visit this part of the world…Bahrain is too small.
over 7 years agoNothing wonderful, nothing horrible…..just not worth visiting
over 7 years agoBoring small country. Not much to do there.
over 7 years agoStart your day haggling in the 120 degree heat for a cab, get a price, pile into a little sentra and go to the mall.
Leaving the mall, wait at a cab stand for an hour and head to the souk, get some stuff,
wait another hour for a taxi (and haggle for another 14 min)
go to a bar and get sloshed.
Bahrain in a nutshell.
I’ve been in London for the past 12 years and love it here. And I love being in Bahrain. Real people, great night life, great restaurants, great shopping. Go!
over 7 years agoi dont know it enought o talk about it.
over 7 years agoI was waylaid here for a day, and as a contrast to that with which I’m familiar go, it was a fascinating experience. But it’s not really somewhere I’d go intentionally, judging from what I saw out the plane window the are better places to explore in the neighbouring Gulf states.
over 7 years agoNot only a transit place but a great place for shopping.
Seef Mall is my favorite.
When I lived in Saudi Arabia, Bahrain was our little escape from Saudi restrictions. There were movie theaters, women drivers, free dressers, live concerts, and my parents relished in a drink or two (or many). Bahrain has several resort hotels that sit on some incredible beaches, but one must beware the incredible numbers of jellyfish that are floating around those waters. It was always a treat for me to go there.
