Benin aka: Benin

I want to go and visit my sponsor child and his family. Since we’ve been sponsoring him, three years now he has two more added to his already struggling family.

I WILL get there one day!

I have no idea about anything in this country. I don’t know what the people are like, the food, or anything else. All I know is that Angelique Kidjo is one of the best damn singers in the world and so I want to pay homage to this queen of music’s home country.

I’ve heard it’s quite dangerous and corrupt country. U better conduct keyword research before going there.

For the major city in Benin, Cotonou does get very quiet at night. I remember coming home by taxi-moto one night with friends, scooting through deserted streets, lightly foggy, so softly silent except for the sound of the motorcycle. As usual, we were packed with three of us on the taxi-moto, aside from the driver, since it was the only one around and so late…

I traveled from Ghana to Benin to visit the friend of a friend, and it was a great trip. The car ride was tough. Lots of stops by police, lots of bumpy roads, but Benin is beautiful. We went to Cotonu and saw a really awesome dance performance by some dancers from Mali. Very cool.

I have a friend in Benin.. so I asked a loan.. a prestiti for have monay and next summer go there… will send you photos in some months ..
