Austria aka: Österreich, Oesterreich, Republik Österreich,The Republic of Austria

Well, I have spent some time in April in Austria two years in a row now. Innsbruck was much more appealing than Wien. Can’t get enough of the beauty of magnolias snowy mountains or blooming flowers.

Well, I guess I had a little too high hopes for this country and for Wien. I was expecting more.

Austrias landscape is breath taking, but Wien was a little too common, didn´t stand up for me. It is ofcourse very beautiful and lovely city, but something was missing…

I’m going to Austria again tomorrow for the 14th time, though the weather there is apparently colder than here and raining – not helpful if we spend most of the time swimming!

I was captivated from the moment I arrived in Vienna. I have traveled to Innsbruck, Salzburg, Linz, and went skiing in a cute village called Bad Hofgastein. Each place was absolutely beautiful and different from the other. The people are very nice and there is endless sites to see. Best experience of my life… Skip the stereotypical european places like London and Paris, go to Vienna. Still the most beautiful city I have ever seen. There is no possibility of disappointment.

I stayed in Vienna for three nights and despite one day with ugly weather, I had a great time. I saw a Mozart concert, and saw a Madonna show from afar haha. I also biked, walked and took trains around the city. Mozart Kugeln, Manner “waffles” and the “Eis” at Zanoni were all fantastic. 8) The Schönbrunn Palace and the gardens were beautiful as well. The layout reminded me a little of Sanssouci in Potsdam, Germany.

Beautiful country with specific atmosphere of elegance and reminescences of glorious past of the The Austro-Hungarian Empire. Wien is a beautiful city, and Salzburg is agreat place to relax and “feel” the soul of this country.

I spent a very short while in Austria. i only visited Innsbruck and the Swarovski Crystal factory. It was definately a moving experience. It was one of the most beautiful cities ive ever visited and i definately took alot away from my trip. including a few extra pounds, the food was amazing. =]

I recommend the cheese dumpling soup.

I was in Vienna April 2008 and absolutely fell in love with the city!

However, Austria has so many beautiful places to see and I do plan to go back!

December 1997 I was with a youth ice hockey team from Colorado as an Assistant Coach. We took a day trip to Vienna and it was beautiful.

i studied here for 6 months as the WU in Vienna.
