Not much here...
While Newport News is central to Williamsburg, Virginia Beach and Norfolk, there’s really not much to the actual city of Newport News unless you’re into a ton of strip malls.
If you do end up visiting, there are some nice parks and a small historic district (Hilton Village) along Warwick Blvd between J. Clyde Morris Blvd. and Mercury Blvd.
