Denver

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: things to do...

Not a huge city, but I somewhat liked that. I was only there for a training class, but I was right down town.. went to 16th street wakling mall every night to eat. there was a neat little micro brewery there, but I can’t recall it’s name. all in all, I liked it quite a bit; but then again, any city where I get to drink every night and stumble back to a room is probably going to rate fairly well for me.

Mount Sentinel "M" Trail

Worth visiting!

A tip I have about this place

it’s quite a climb. and it turns out slick bottom boots are not the best for going up the trail. so. now you know. oh. and it’s kinda hard to backpack beers up there, too.

Center Of The Universe

Worth visiting!

A tip I have about this place

this is in downtown Tulsa, OK. on the pedestrian bridge that crosses the railroad tracks to the old depot building. try standing in the middle of one of the circles (there are 2 or 3 from what I recall) and speaking. you’ll get an intersting effect if you’re in just the right place.

Wilkesboro

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: small town.

from what I saw of it, Wilkesboro is a pretty small town. in both meanings.

Cedar Lake

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: sort of heavener..

I used to live near this place. it’s not actually in heavener, but it’s the closest town I’d bother mentioning. (and heavener barely makes that). Again, more of a ‘if you’re in the area’ attraction than a must see place.

Heavener

Worth visiting!

A tip I have about this place

it’s really more of a ‘if you happen to be in the area’ place to visit. you probably wouldn’t go there as a destination.

Talimena Drive

Worth visiting!

A review of this place: Talimena

Talimena Drive extends between Talihina, OK and Mena, AR and is one of the more scenic areas of south eastern Oklahoma. the drive crosses over the Quacita mountains, normally following the ridge lines and provides several observation points for the lands below, as well as (illegal) launch points for hang gliders. The most popular time for the drive is during the fall to see the colors of the changing leaves. Be aware, if you choose to make this trip the road can be somewhat hazardous (the curves have claimed several people over the years) and there are no services along the drive. if you need fuel, buy it in Mena or Talihina before you start. This road is labeled as highway 1 between the two towns on most maps.

Mount Rushmore National Memorial

Not worth visiting!

A review of this place: crowded.

that about sums it up, I think.

Tulsa

Worth visiting!

Why I recommend this place to visitors

fantastic city for Oklahoma… wide range of things to do, excellent parks, museums, wonderful houses to just ride around and look at (particularly around 21st and Peroia)

Houston

Worth visiting!

it's just OK..

it’s an OK place, although I suggest you have a more specific reason than just to find a place to visit.
