My boyfriend took me to this place because he loved their sesame chicken. I was skeptical at first because it seemed like Americanized Chinese food, but it wasn’t entirely. It seemed like a hybrid of traditional Chinese food mixed in with American influences, something an ABC (American Born Chinese) like me would cook up if I decided to whip up something relating to my heritage. I really enjoyed their “Country Rice Chowder,” a dish my grandmother would frown upon because the ingredients are all scrambled in, making a colorful mess, but that’s something I always did with my food.

Their dishes are geared towards a more westernized palate, as they offer “fried calamari” and “mushu pork.”

My last visit wasn’t as memorable as the staff can be a bit rude, but I think it’s worth visiting at least once. Hopefully the tastiness of their food will make up for their service.

i went in with a friend on a quiet tuesday. there was a live acoustic jazz band playing (consisted of an older gentleman and an older lady). they have over 300 different types of teas, and everything was reasonably priced. the scones were delicious! will definitely go back again.
