My uncle, Rande Vetterli, lives here. He’s known around the islands as Pecherman, because he fishes for a living. I had a fantastic summer there at his place and that’s where I started learning French as well.
High prices, but a wonderful culture and a really shockingly beautiful setting.

Just gotta love Sweden. Friendly people, beautiful country, and lots of charming cities. Denmark is better, but don’t tell anyone.

Czech Republic as a whole can be a bit of a shock to foreigners, coming into a land once dominated by communism and only recently becoming separated from the Czechoslovakia union. It’s a poor country, but it also has beautiful landscape, and Prague has much to offer as far as old architecture, nightlife, and most importantly: cheap shopping! =)

I found Berlin (both East and West) to be rather dull and extremely industrial, especially in comparison with other cities in Germany and other parts of Europe.
