This really great old theater gives you an interesting venue for watching some out of the ordinary films. There’s a surprising amount of space in the largest theater, as well as quite a few smaller ones with more intimate atmospheres. Just a warning: they generally ask you to queue outside before going into the theater, so bundle up and grab snacks before you head to the back of the line!

Definitely the cleanest, nicest, and best shopping in the French Quarter. Check out a souvenir shop called “Jesters” on Decatur for the best and most unique items!

Try a Sunset Cooler, Hibiscus Tea, or other cold drink. They’re delish!

Best fish in Austin! Heck, in TEXAS!

I just went for the first time over the weekend. My general observations were:

• WAY too long of waiting time.
• Damn good BBQ, and I’ve had a lot in my day.
• A little pricey.

I don’t think the “Family Meal” deal (all you can eat everything for $18.95) is worth it unless you’re a massive eater. Any normal human being would be more than stuffed with a basic “combo plate”, and it’s $7 cheaper.

I think I would get really freaked out if I actually went here after seeing the movie “Teeth” . . .

The more that I see of this world, the more I want to find the end of it . . . or maybe the beginning…

One of my best friends just left for Niger with the Peace Corps. I would love to see her in action, and see what a great job she’s doing. :)

My boyfriend of over 2 years grew up in Melbourne, and I would love love LOVE to see it with him as my tour guide!

I’ve been on the metros in London and Paris, and now Montreal, and it’s still my preferred means of public transportation above the bus. Montreal’s isn’t near as nice as London’s Underground (but few can compare), but its definitely cleaner than Paris’ system.

Word of warning: Berri-UQAM station is the heart of the system, and it gets REALLY crowded.
