Fun and random memories here, where the extended extended family lives, and where my mom spent her early years.
over 6 years agoMy brother used to have hockey practice here in the morning before the stores opened. My parents and I would watch until La Madeleine opened, then have breakfast while watching the kids practice.
And every Christmas for years the Polish Eagle Dancers would congregate here to have our annual skate – for most of us, it was the only time we went ice skating all year.
Eleven years ago, now, and I was crazed by homesickness as an exchange student.
The castle and its grounds have lingered in my mind ever since.
