Yep, this year I will be returning to Gaza to work on my doc and doing research on the cultural and metaphoric presence of jinn(genie) in Palestine. I am really looking forward to it. It will be a great challenge and I am sure I very emotional experience as the more I understand about the situation there, the more heart-breaking it is. this time, I don’t just want to be the outsider looking in but actively participating. I am hoping to do some work in training and education in art and video for Palestinians, hopefully, and I’ll be able to visit my sponsored child, Mohammed in Rafah. Zein will able to visit his grandparents too and have some exposure to Palestinian culture.

Want to go at least once before I die!

Absolutely amazing place, an entire city carved out of the pink Rock face…unlike anything I have ever seen yet..beware those mad bedouin horsemen though with the friendly fingers! They are are little too welcoming!
