They “think” that this is possibly the longest staircase in LA (231 steps)
For $5 per person, I took a 2 hour, 2.6 miles tour of the Echo Park Stairwells, and I had an awesome time =). Heard tons of history from our tourguide Jesus (Heh-sus), including an early 20th century LA that predates the car era, and how the staircases were basically people’s only way of accessing their homes on the hill. One guy who opts to live this way even hosted a restbreak for us. Cant wait to go on the lake and elysian park tours =)
