I think we are all unfair on Morecambe! It once was a buzzing place with so much going on, people went on holiday there etc, but there was a sudden decline as people started travelling abroad for holidays so they lost their income from tourism. The ‘West End’ is now an area of huge deprivation, and I think this has really affected Morecambe’s reputation on the whole. However, what they have done with the seafront is lovely. On a sunny day, you can see right across the lake district! Sometimes you can see groups doing tai chi on the beach, and you can always be sure of a huge cheap breakfast in one of their many cafe’s! I think it’s a place we love to hate, but it does have some things that make it well worth a visit!

Go there to fly a kite!!

The beach is a mile long so it’s an EXCELLENT walk!! We always used to walk the dog along there.

Went with three of my best friends in the autumn to fly a couple kites! It was so much fun!! It’d windy yet beauty at the same time, hearing all the waves crashing around you is so lovely!!

The beach is INCREDIBLE!!

Certianly is one of the prettiest beaches in Devon. It’s on the way to Slapton.

On the beach there’s an organic cafe which is great to go… but bring a wad of cash!!

First time I went with two close friends we brought a blanket and hung out there. :) They burried me up to my head, too!!

Another time, a lot of us went, we bought two dingies beforehand, with oars, and we went really far out!! It was September, and the water was actually WARM!!

Excellent place to visit in the summer, I assure you!!! :)
