Plitvice Lakes National Park (read all 2 entries…)

    (in Croatia)
    A question about this place:
I want to stay somewhere near the Plitvice Lake. But 3 hotels nearby the lake are a bit pricy. So I'm thinking of staying one of private accomodations. Is it hard to find and book them?  — 1 year ago

    San Pedro De Atacama

    (in Chile)

    Worth visiting!

It’s a nice spot to explore the desert area. Just keep in mind that you are at high altitude and bring lots of water. I couldn’t believe the dramatic change of temperature. It was so cold in the morning that I had to wear long-sleeve jacket. But after 1 p.m., it was boiling hot.

    Mérida

    Worth visiting!

Coastal cities in Yucatan are great, Cancun, Cozumel, Playa del Carmen. But if you want to experience real Mexico, I recommend to get to Merida. Not crowded by American tourists like Cancun. People are relaxed. It’s also a good base to visit nearby ruins, if you are interested in history.
