Not worth visiting!
Don't go. It's awful. The city itself is like any
other developing world city you’ve ever seen. The country is beautiful, but the city. . .just not worth it.

and then I just returned a couple of weeks ago. It’s touristy and corney—but it’s awsome just the same. We went to sea world, and the Disney Experience, it’s like an Arcade. Anyway, SeaWorld was amazing. Dolphins, Sharks, the whole nine. Go there and bask among the fishes.

It was my first extended stay in another country. It is quite beautiful, stately and elegant—with a pretty good night life. The food is amazing.

Visiting Hiroshima is not easy. I don’t mean that in the sense that it’s hard to get to, but in the sense that it is a weighty place. While it’s inhabitants get up and go to work like people everywhere—for an outsider nothing about this city is ordinary. “Hiroshima” is almost a metaphor for the inhumanity that people can inflict on each other. It seems almost sacraligious to laugh here, disrespectful to smile. But it’s just a city afterall.

There are few places on earth this beautiful. I lived in Osaka—which is just 40 miles away, I visited Kyoto over a dozen times and still I don’t think I’ve seen it all. If you have a chance, by all means go to Kyoto.
