Las Vegas

Worth visiting!

Fun everytime

I visited LV a few times as a child with my parents while on family trips but have had the pleasure of going back twice as an adult.

You can have a lot of fun in Vegas, but I probably don’t really need to tell anybody that.

Cuba

Sounds like a great place to kick back

My dad got to take a group of college business students to Cuba a few years ago, if I had only had some money at the time I could have tagged along. I’ve wanted to go there for as long as I can remember.

Tried talking my wife (fiance at the time) that we should honeymoon there…she didn’t think so.

As long as I can visit before they turn into a commercial tourist trap I’ll be happy. It will happen…Castro won’t live forever.

Kansas City

Worth visiting!

Not exactly what we had planned

The last two nights of our honeymoon were to be spent in KC but we rolled into our hotel parking lot (Harrah’s Casino) with less than one hundred bucks left. Needless to say, a hundred bucks doesn’t last long. We cut the stay to one night, spent it at the casino and never really made it into KC proper.

I really wanted to eat at Gates BBQ too.

Guess we’ll just have to go back.

Gates BBQ

got a bottle of their sauce a few years ago and love it. Now I’m going to drive a bit out of the way on an upcoming trip (honeymoon actually) to hit KC and eat there.

mmmmmm, bbq.

Cleveland

Looking forward to visiting

Many years ago I passed through Cleveland on one of those “we’re driving half-way across the country and you’re going to love it” trips with my parents. I’m pretty sure we only passed through but we did swing by the football stadium, which at the time was a huge thrill to me. Of course later that day we ened up in Canton at the Hall of Fame which was pretty cool for a lil’ kid.

In a little over a month I’ll be passing through Cleveland again, this time with my new wife and we’re planning to stop at the Rock’n’Roll Hall of Fame before again heading to Canton for the other Hall of Fame.
