i could really see myself moving here after i finish up school in a year (if i could land a job here).
it has kiteboarding, windsurfing, near mt hood, and the most gorgeous scenery, not to mention it’s home to one of my fave vegan companies – Tofurky. We’ve stop here a few times on way back from Mt Hood hiking trips to Portland and I really could envision this being an amazing place to live.
over 2 years agoa good hike from the hood river meadows trailhead.
hiked through mt hood meadows to umbrella falls. 2.0 mile hike, beautiful scenery and lovely falls. continued the hike to sahale falls.
total hike = 3.6 miles

their slogan is ‘hoover is happenin!’ maybe if you are a retiree or high school student, otherwise, it’s pretty lame. it has a huge mall, the Galleria, located here so lots of people probably like that I guess.
