I came up here with the band I sell merch for in March. We only spent a couple hours here. I enjoyed it. It’s a pretty city, but the people were a bit of stuck up assholes. It may have just been that visit, but I do plan to come up again.
over 3 years agoI’ve lived in and around the Portland Metro area for almost my life. I love it here. In my experience it is what you make it. So if you don’t plan to try much or do anything it won’t really seem like much to you, but if you make an effort to go out and try things you’ll have fun.
I suggest checking out the hardcore/metal music scene, if you’re into it. A couple venues that actively have shows are: The Satyricon, The Hawtorne Theatre, and Rock n’ Roll Pizza.
