The guidebook may say that Zurich has an awesome night scene, but it was pretty dead when I visited it during the week. It’s also expensive. I paid 11.50 Swiss Francs for two rolls, some butter, some jam, and a cup of coffee at a cafe near the train station. For backpacker-priced food, find a nearby Coop.
