Texans are great hosts and know how to party! But be careful to observe local laws and etiquette and you’ll have the best time! Also, always remember to bring ID if you want to go to a bar even if you’re a pensioner and remember to stay off private property even if it looks deserted. Many Texans carry guns and will not hesitate to shoot a wandering tourist!
over 6 years agoHighly recommended! Good nightlife and great to wander around during the day. Best in early summer. Bicycle is the best means of transport and forget about bringing a car as you’ll have to dump it at the outskirts of town at a paid parking.
If you’re into dance music, Amsterdam Dance Event in October is also a fantastic time to visit when the whole town turns into disco city!
