I was 18. I went up the CN Tower, where they have a glass floor. Even though you know it’s safe and they have signs saying an elephant could stand on it, it still takes a little bit of blind faith to make that first step! It’s a fantastic city.

Tate Modern, Southwark

The Tate Modern is just a hollowed out power station. As a result, when you go inside on the ground floor and look up, you can see the roof, which is a very long way away! Most of it is free except for the occasional exhibition, and if you like interesting art, this is a fantastic place to spend a few hours. If you go to the top floor you’ll find the Picasso paintings, which are my favourite.
