Has anyone been during Carnival???? I wanted to know if you felt safe? We would be a group of girls. Do a lot of tourists go? Do prices of things go way up? Are accomodations significantly more? Is it easily to get from Trinidad to Tobago? Have you been to other Carnival celebrations? How does Trinidad compare?

Also we have one and a half day that we cant decide if we should spend it in Phuket, Koh Samui or Koh Phangan… Any one care to chime in with a personal favorite?

Hi, my name is Kayla and I have several questions about Thailand… To begin with Have you been in October? How is the weather? How often can I expect rain? Is the humidity just unbearable? Is air conditioning common there or strictly a luxury item? Next topic: Apparel. I read that the Thai people consider revealing clothing to be rather offensive. However I am a 20 something girl from Arizona going with 5 other 20 something girls from Arizona and our wardrobe tends to lean towards the revealing side, heavily. So my question is, would it be rude to go topless on the beach? What about going into restaurants in a bathing suit? At night @ bars and clubs would a revelaing, backlass, or bra-less shirt be inappropriate? What about the full moon party, can you get away with a little sluttiness there? Finally shoes… I have been told that feet are considered very offensive in Thailand, particularly toes. And that you should try to keep your feet covered. However I have also heard that you have to take your shoes off everywhere before entering. So which is it? Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Again!

I am going with my friends to Thailand at the end of October. Will the rainy season really be a problem then? Is Phuket worth the trip or is too commercial? Is the Full Moon Party worth the trip? Where should we go in the North, we want to take a few days to get a feel for really authentic Thailand…
