This is where a lot of my family is from – or at least in the surrounding area. Haven’t been there in a few years, but what I remember it was beautiful. Got to check out Lombard Bridge that was a fun hang out for us.

I dated an exchange student from there in high school and got a chance to visit – for a now anthropology student it was unbelievable to see all of the ruins around the countryside and in the city. There was a restaurant in the main plaza whom my ex’s parents owned, they had one of the oldest known Roman wells in the area in their back wine room – it was so cool to see history so close. (for an American anyway) I deffinatly recomend it, and would love to go back!

When I was there I was lucky enough to catch a Salvadore Dali exhibit and it was a chance of a lifetime! The whole area was beautiful and the people were very friendly – even when they heard my horrible attempt at french, they appreciated the attempt. ;)
