Go to all the museums at the Mall.. your trip won’t be enough to look at everything there is to see….

I went to college there (UAB) and I think the city was great, not too big that you will get distracted every second, and not too small that you get bored all the time… great landscapes…

One of the things I remember most, is the Llanganuco Lake; It is in the middle of the mountains, south of Huaraz.. walk to the other end of the lake (opposite from where all the buses and people are) and there will be a peace and quite that you can feel you are one with the lake.. and the color of the water is awesome, kind of like turqoise or something like that. Well worth the trip.

Don’t forget to try the “mazapanes” from “La Iberica”.. one of the best sweets in all Peru.

When I went with my friends, a few years ago; Just the fact that we had to walk for three days in the middle of nowhere in the Cotahuasi canyon just to get there gave these fals an aura of adventure and excitement that we will never forget… it was a real adventure….
