Just got back from a trip camping in Wellfleet. The national seashore was the best part. A foggy and empty Marconi Beach on a warm day was real nice.

Kate Piersen from the B-52’s owns this motel, and it’s decorated the way you’d expect it to be.

Ah, that 7 minute movie proves it. Unilever’s cover-up of the killings of Ben & Jerry continues. There’s been no new pictures of them for like 20 years! Where are they??

A good middle ground between the pretty yet alien Vermont village and the overly touristed ones, St. Johnsbury has a little bit of everything, and doesn’t make you feel dumb for visiting it. And the Fairbanks Museum is a top-notch museum.

Nice place. Great parks. Camping at Ricker Pond was great.

Go to the Vermont Historical Society Museum. Good deal. Didn’t see much else in town, though. Such a tiny state capital!

I went here on an mid-week October afternoon. It was dense with old people. I can’t believe how many people were there, mid-week, wandering around aimlessly looking at “fun” maps. And taking pictures of that stupid fake covered bridge. Do you people even know where you are? “You’re in Vermont. The real actual place,” is what I want to say to them. And here you are at this little touristy place. So many people, so many cars at that intersection of Mountain Road and Route 100. The one thing we did was eat breakfast at The Dutch Pancake House, which I totally reccommend. Other than that, this looks like a haven for old, boring, WASPy people who hate nature. Sorry, Stowe. But as a Vermont village, you just don’t do it for me.

Worth visiting! For sure. Museums like this are usually pretty dry. I wasn’t expecting the trip through Lincoln’s head that is the White House interior to be so intense. Wild.

Went here to visit Spaniel, who’s living here for a year. It’s like Illinois’ version of Albany. Just a plain old city trying to get something going. The riverfront’s alright. But when the wind blows the right way, the city smells like hot dogs. There’s some farms just outside town. Liked the giant antique store near the riverfront area. Also, the Botanical Garden was good, and so was Steak & Shake, but that goes without saying.

The best is the library hidden behind the center building. Go around back to see it.
