Kruševac, Serbia

A town of rich tradition

Kruševac, a town of rich tradition and several centuries long history, is situated in the central part of Serbia.

King Lazar started building it around 1374.

There are 2 legends concerning the name of the town. According to one, it was named after the many pear trees (‘kruška’), that were abundant in these regions. According to the other, the name came from the kind of stone called ‘krušac’, which was taken out of the river and used for the building of the medieval town.

Zlatibor is a beautiful mountain in the heart of Serbia, in its very central part. It’s the place where your eyes can take a rest and your body can be filled with energy!

And the climate is very special here. The ‘rose of the winds’ is exactly above Zlatibor, making summers hot and winters mild.

Zlatibor is rich in vegetation and woods. It’s also the only place where you can admire the free flight of whiteheaded sups (vultures) that are almost entirely exterminated in other regions.
