Hvar

(in Croatia)
The last time I went to this place

Must see for all types of travellers. Night life is one of the best at this part of Croatia. The lack of beaches near old town is not an issue because you get to have excursions by boat to Pakleni islands near Hvar, this makes going for a swim a small adventure. At some caffes (carpe di em) you need to make a reservations a few days before to get a place at evening, of course a prices are ripp of. I am coming to Hvar island often, but this time decided to have accommodation in Hvar out of city of Hvar (in Sucuraj). This village is on the other part of island, closer to mainland, but then you get the chance to visit Korcula, Dubrovnik and other places on coast as one day trip. The whole island is definitelly must see.

Worth visiting!

The last time I went to this place

The most underestimated tourist destination in Croatia for sure.
It is not known enough how reach is this towns history (1700 years old), you can wonder for hours trough old town streets (Diocletian palace – roman emperror). Specially underestimated comparing to Dubrovnik, because it offers more – excursions to islands, more beaches arround, old city compared to Dubrovnik and yet 500 years older!!

Dubrovnik

(in Croatia)

Worth visiting!

The last time I went to this place

Well, when you enter the old town of Dubrovnik, you must ask your self how many tons of stone and swet has been spent here during centuries, it is absolutelly amazing. Do not miss tour around old city on city walls, the sea deep down on the one side and old houses in perfect anarchy on the city side. Worth visiting is old city, the rest you can expect is ripp of at hotels and restaurants, neverending traffic jams on streets surrounding old city. Unlike Hvar, for example, which is another Croatian tourist hotspot, you cannot enjoy secluded bays or peacefull natural surroundings within 20km. Nightlife also miserable. Therefore reccommended only for short sightseing visits.
